named after King George 111 of England is an interesting blend of the new and
old. The tour includes Fort Cornwallis which was built by the British East India

PENANG HILL & KEK LOK SI TEMPLE - AM/PM - 4 hours
Nestled
within the hills of Penang is the largest Buddhist temple in South East Asia.
Built on sprawling grounds, it is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy and is
called Kek Lok Si Temple (Temple of Paradise). The 7 tier Pagoda of 10,000
Buddhas dominate the temple. This building of the temple is influenced by the
architecture styles of the Thais, Burmese and Chinese. Next, take an enjoyable
funicular rail ride up Penang Hill at 830 m above sea level. Enjoy the panoramic

1: Arrive Penang Airport and

Bird Park and Bridge Tour:
Cross
over to Mainland Butterworth by ferry and visit Penang's only bird park in
Seberang Jaya, the first of its kind in Malaysia. Over 200 species of
birds from around the world are on view in specially designed aviaries.
Man-made islands with landscaped gardens and ornamental plants abound. Of
note are the wide variety of orchids and hibiscus plants. The park is open
daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Then, drive across the Penang Bridge to Penang
Island and visit an international jewelry factory.

Visit
the world's very first and largest Butterfly Farm. Situated at the
foothill of Teluk Bahang, it provides sanctuary for about 4,000 live butterflies
of over 200 species, live tropical insects, anthropoids, tarantulas & spiders,
water dragons, jungle lizards, frogs and giant millipedes, live scorpion pits
and a lush landscaped garden. The farm also boasts of a hatchery.
Tour proceeds to the Botanical Gardens which is located 8km from the city

Come
face to face with the locals in Georgetown and discover their culture and

Appreciate the architectural beauty of the majestic Khoo Kongsi Clan House
located at Jalan Masjid Kapitan Kling. Kapitan Kling Mosque was built in
the early nineteenth century by an Indian Muslim merchant, who was also the
community headman at that time. It is a fine example of Islamic
architecture of Moorish influence. Visit Penang Museum & Art Gallery -
built in 1821, it was first used as a school. Today, it houses a fine collection
of old photographs, map, charts and other historical relics which provide an

except on Fridays (closed). Continue to the Wat Chayamangkaram where
you'll find one of the world's largest Reclining Buddha. On the way

Georgetown,
the capital of Penang, named after King George III of England, is a bustling
city blending in old ancestral Chinese architectures, Hindu Temples with their
decorative sculptures and structural churches. Situated in the midst of
Esplanade, stands Fort Cornwallis built in between 1808 and 1810. A drive

Funicular
train ride up to the Penang Hill for an unforgettable steamboat dinner under the
stars. Steamboat is a cook-it-yourself meal whereby a pot of boiling stock
is placed in the middle of the table and diners dip their food in it to be
cooked. While enjoying your meal, treat your eyes to a panoramic view of
Georgetown. Upon our descent from the hill, tour will continue with a
pleasant and scenic drive by the Penang Bridge, the longest bridge in Asia and
third longest in the world. This 13.5 kilometer long bridge which
links the island to the mainland is reported to be able to withstand an
earthquake measuring up to 7.5 on the Richter Scale. The bridge costing
RM800 million was built in three and a half years and officially opened to
traffic on 1st September 1985. Finally, if time and weather permits, our
tour will end with a visit to the night market where locals buy their
bric-a-brac, household items, clothing, etc. As everywhere else in Penang, food
