Mengkabong
Village is a settlement of the Bajaus, who were famed pirates of the 19th
century. At present the tribe is made up of fishermen who reside on a village
built over water. Visit the local market where village folks sell their produce.
Next try your balancing skill on a hanging bridge. Walk on gangplanks that link
thatched roof houses built on stilts to the mainland. On the way back, stop at

Kinabalu
Park, 1,623m above sea level and with an area of 754sq.kms, is located at the
foot of Mount Kinabalu (4,093m high). It is located 88km or 2 hour drive from
Kota Kinabalu. A botanist's paradise, Kinabalu Park is home to over 1,000
species of orchids, 300 species of birds, 26 species of rhododendron, 450
species of ferns, 9 species of pitcher plants including Nepenthes Rajah - the
largest in the world. Tour highlights include Park Headquarters, Exhibition
Hall, a guided jungle walk and a slide show of Kinabalu Park. A visit to a local
market will be included if time permits.
Poring Hot Springs Tour - Full Day
Depart
for Poring, 456m above sea level, passing Kundasang and Ranau. One of the
highlights at Poring is the Japanese-style sulphur baths. A dip is recommended
if time permits (changing room is available). Experience the canopy walk and a
spectacular view of the forest, 80m above ground. Stop briefly at Kinabalu Park,
located at the foot of Mount Kinabalu, before returning to Kota Kinabalu.

Day
1: Arrive Kota Kinabalu.
City Tour. Meet upon arrival to Kota Kinabalu Airport and transfer to your
hotel. Afternoon, city tour with visit to Signal Hill for a panoramic view
of Kota Kinabalu. Descend to Sabah Foundation – a 30-storey glass building
supported by high tensile steel rods is one of the only four such buildings in
the world. Visit a Buddhist Temple, State Mosque and Museum in Likas

Day 2:
Visit Tuaran, an agriculture station which is 30 minutes drive from Kota
Kinabalu. The journey to Tuaran runs through farms, valleys, rubber
plantations and forest. Nearby is Mengkabong; a Bajau village built on
stilts over the water is a fascinating sight. Visit the local market and
handicraft centre before returning to the city. En route stop at a Chinese

Day 3:
Take a leisurely drive to Crocker Range to arrive at the Rafflesia Centre.
Walk into the forest to search for Rafflesia which is the largest flower in the
world. Proceed to Keningau for lunch and transfer to Tenom to visit Orchid
Centre and Crop Museum. Observe the many species of rare orchids, tropical
fruit, herbal and medicinal trees. Overnight at Perkasa Hotel.

Aru Railway Station. Board a train to Tenom. Enjoy the superb view

The
tours starts with driving to the highest point in Kota Kinabalu, for a bird’s
eye view of the town. Proceed to Sabah Foundation Building - one of the
few hanging structure in the world. Take a drive of 30 minutes from Kota
Kinabalu to Mengkabong Water Village, a settlement of the Bajaus, the descendant
of pirates who set foot on this land in the early 19th century. In
present, this tribe is fishermen, who reside on a village built on water.
The spectacular sight is their houses, which stands on stilts and connected by
narrow wooden planks. A visit to the open market at Tuaran and suspension
